Ford and Steward recalled to England team for New Zealand showdown
George Ford and Freddie Steward have been recalled into the England side for their highly-anticipated clash with New Zealand at Twickenham on Saturday.
Ford and Steward are two of seven changes made by England boss Steve Borthwick, two of which are enforced as Ollie Chessum and Tommy Freeman miss out through injury.
Captain Maro Itoje, Jamie George, Tom Roebuck, Fin Baxter and Sam Underhill were also named in the starting XV after dropping out of the 38-18 victory over Fiji.
Steward and Roebuck started the first fixture of the Autumn Nations Series, a 25-7 win against Australia, but missed the Fiji game with hand and ankle issues, respectively.
However, both players have since returned to training at Pennyhill Park this week, with England eyeing a 10th consecutive win against a strong All Blacks side.
Steward replaces Marcus Smith, who is one of six British and Irish Lions named on England's bench.
With Freeman out, Ollie Lawrence and Fraser Dingwall continue as the first-choice centre pairing.
Immanuel Feyi-Waboso retained his place on the left wing and Ford is restored alongside Alex Mitchell at halfback after Fin Smith took the number 10 shirt against Fiji.

England survived a scare against Fiji, coming from behind to make it two wins from two to start the Autumn Nations Series.
Fiji led by six points in the first half and scored three tries, while also having a second-half try ruled out - a score which would have brought things to a one-point game late on.
"I'm pleased with the progress we are making," Borthwick said ahead of the match with New Zealand, as England look to secure a first Twickenham win over the All Blacks since 2012.
"Without doubt, New Zealand are one of the best teams in the world and facing them is always a special challenge.
"Playing in front of a packed-out Allianz Stadium means a huge amount to the players. The support we've had throughout this series has been outstanding, and we want it loud again on Saturday."
England round off their Autumn Nations Series campaign next weekend when they take on Argentina.
