Edwards: No one is going to work harder than me
Anthony Edwards has claimed no one will work harder than him in the summer after the Minnesota Timberwolves were eliminated in the Western Conference finals.
The Oklahoma City Thunder wrapped the series up in emphatic style, winning Game Five 124-94.
Minnesota have now lost back-to-back conference finals after going down to the Dallas Mavericks in 2024.
Edwards was held to fewer than 20 points in three of the five matches against the Thunder, far lower than his regular-season average of 27.6, and finished the game with 19 points off 18 shots.
The 23-year-old is determined to go at least one step further next season, claiming he will work harder than any other NBA player in the offseason.
"I'm going to work my butt off this summer," Edwards said. "Nobody's going to work harder than me this summer. I'll tell you that much.

"They [OKC] were the better team, they came out and beat us, punched us in the face, and we lost the game, we lost the series."
Edwards’ teammate Julius Randle was in a similar mindset following the heavy defeat, using the loss as motivation ahead of next season.
"I feel like we're a better team than what we showed," Randle said.
"So, a lot of motivation going into the summer, for sure."
