Stephen Curry expressed his pride after creating further NBA history during the Golden State Warriors' victory over the Orlando Magic.

The Warriors claimed their seventh straight win on Saturday, after prevailing 126-119 in overtime at the Chase Center.

Curry played a key role with 41 points – including five three-pointers – and was 13 of 19 from the field, while he also chipped in with six rebounds and six assists.

It was his 16th 40-point contribution since turning 35, surpassing LeBron James (15) for the most in NBA history.

Curry's 17 points in the final seven minutes also set a new NBA record, while he passed 30 points for the fourth time in five games.

"It makes me super proud of the work that's gone in, especially with some injuries and all that," he said.

"Just the idea I could still get to a certain level, you kind of feed off of that – especially when it's in a winning fashion like [Saturday]."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr also paid tribute to Curry, saying: "He's been blessed with a body that's held up. But he's earned that through his strength training, conditioning and fitness level."
