Caitlin Clark to return for Fever's game vs. Liberty
The Indiana Fever will have star guard Caitlin Clark back for their showdown with the unbeaten New York Liberty on Saturday.
Clark has missed the Fever's last five games with a quadriceps injury but was cleared to return after participating fully in Friday's practice.
"As long as we don’t have any regressions, she’s going to be ready to roll," Fever head coach Stephanie White told reporters Friday.
Indiana went 2-3 in the absence of the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, who leads the league in assists per game (9.3) to go along with averages of 19 points and six rebounds through four games played this season.

Clark's return comes just in time for one of the most anticipated early matchups of this WNBA season. The Liberty are the defending league champions and are off to a 9-0 start to 2025, making them the lone undefeated team following the Minnesota Lynx's loss to the Seattle Storm on Wednesday.
Saturday's game will be televised nationally on ABC beginning at 3 p.m. ET.
“I’m really excited," Clark said after Friday's practice. “I think it’s definitely been a process. I think the hardest part is when you begin to feel really good, and then it’s just a process of working yourself back into actually getting up and down and getting out there with my teammates.”
The No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 draft following a sensational collegiate career at the University of Iowa, Clark helped the Fever end an eight-year play-off absence as a rookie while immediately becoming one of the WNBA's most popular players. The 23-year-old averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game during her debut campaign.
