Andrews says Turf Moor thriller must be a learning curve for Brentford
While Keith Andrews was relieved to see Brentford win a seven-goal thriller at Burnley on Saturday, he feels they must use that match as a learning opportunity ahead of visiting Bournemouth on Tuesday.
The Bees maintained their positive momentum in the race for European football by winning 4-3 at Turf Moor, but the scoreline did not begin to tell the full story of the game.
Brentford squandered a 3-0 lead and almost found themselves 4-3 down, as Burnley's Zian Flemming saw a goal chalked off for a marginal offside. But Mikkel Damsgaard's second goal, three minutes into second-half stoppage time, sealed victory for Andrews' men.
A win at Bournemouth on Tuesday would see them leapfrog neighbours Chelsea into the Premier League's top six, but Andrews says they must improve aspects of their game.
"We had full control, I don't think it's unfair to say we could have been five goals up," Andrews reflected on Monday.
"For the game to materialise the way it did, to concede just before half-time with an own goal, and then in the first 15 minutes of the second half... we struggled to deal with what they threw at us.
"Where I'm at with it now is we found a way to win the game, but we must learn from it. Momentum is huge in the game, isn't it? It's huge.
"In the second half, the momentum was going against us, so it's about finding ways of stopping that. Whether that's someone taking care with the pass, playing for territory, just learning how to do deal with that, seeing how we can stay calm when the chaos comes.
"It was an invaluable learning experience for us all and the best thing about it was we won the game."

Bournemouth are three places and four points below Brentford in the table and still harbour European aspirations of their own, though they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland last time out.
Evanilson scored their equaliser in that game before exiting with a dead leg, and Andoni Iraola will give the striker every chance to prove his fitness.
"Yesterday, he didn't train. He was still very sore," Iraola said on Monday. "But we train this evening, so I hope he comes with better feelings and he gives it a try, at least.
"He's not injured, it's just a knock, a dead leg, but obviously we are talking about one or two days, and it still is a little bit sore."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Bournemouth – Evanilson
Last time out against Sunderland, Evanilson became the first Bournemouth player to be subbed on, score and then be subbed off in a league match since James Keene against Brentford in October 2005. Iraola will be desperate to have him available on Tuesday.
Brentford – Kevin Schade
Schade scored a hat-trick in Brentford's 4-1 win over Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium in December.
The only players to score four or more goals against the Cherries within a single Premier League season are Harry Kane (five in 2015-16), Romelu Lukaku (four in 2016-17) and Mohamed Salah (four in 2018-19).

MATCH PREDICTION – BOURNEMOUTH WIN
Having lost seven of their first eight away league games this season (W1), Brentford have now won five of their last six on the road (L1).
They are looking to win four in a row away from home for just the second time in the competition, after a run of five between January and March last season.
And, across all competitions, Brentford have won 10 of their last 13 games against Bournemouth (D2 L1), including the last five in a row. The last team they had a longer winning run against was Preston North End, between 2013 and 2016 (six).
But they are not favoured by the Opta supercomputer this time around, with Bournemouth going unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games (W4 D4).
Only once have they had a longer run without defeat in the top flight, going 11 matches without losing between November and January last season.
Bournemouth have drawn more Premier League games than any other side this season (12), so the points being shared cannot be ruled out. This is already their most draws in a single top-flight campaign.
OPTA WIN PROBABILITY
Bournemouth – 44.6%
Brentford – 28.5%
Draw – 26.9%
