West Ham 1-4 Manchester City: Shaw stars again to cap title-winning campaign
Manchester City wrapped up their title-winning Women's Super League campaign with a 4-1 thrashing of West Ham on the final day.
Khadija Shaw once again starred for the champions, scoring twice at Chigwell Construction Stadium, while Laura Coombs also netted for the visitors in her final match before retiring.
City, playing for the first time since winning the title, went ahead after just 13 minutes as Alex Greenwood's knockdown was turned in by Jade Rose on the swivel.
Andree Jeglertz's side lost some momentum when Lauren Hemp was forced off before the break with an injury, but they were 2-0 up before the hour as Shaw converted from Aoba Fujino's low cross.
The Hammers managed to pull a goal back soon after through Seraina Piubel, but Shaw restored City's two-goal lead in the 72nd minute as she showed great composure to pick out the bottom-right corner while one-on-one with Kinga Szemik.
And Coombs then wrote the perfect ending to her professional career as her deflected strike looped over the West Ham goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Data Debrief: Shaw brings up WSL century
Shaw's first goal was her 100th direct goal contribution in the WSL (now 101 - 83 goals, 18 assists), seeing her become the sixth player to reach that milestone after Vivianne Miedema (138), Beth Mead (124), Bethany England (114), Nikita Parris (107) and Fran Kirby (104).
The 29-year-old recorded the most expected goals (xG) for City (1.07), the most touches in the box (nine) and created the joint-most chances (three), while claiming the Golden Boot for the season. Her 21 goals saw her fall just short of matching the single-campaign WSL record of 22.
It could well have been Shaw's final WSL game for Man City, who end their season with the FA Cup final against Brighton next week. The Jamaican has not, as of yet, agreed a new deal with the club.
City's showing was a demonstration of their attacking quality, as they produced 3.19 xG from 16 shots to West Ham's 1.75 from 17 attempts.
