Mathys Tel has completed a permanent move to Tottenham, becoming Thomas Frank's first signing at the club.

He has put pen to paper on a six-year deal to keep him in north London until June 2031 for a reported £29.8m fee from Bayern Munich.

Tel was originally signed on loan in January, with a view to a permanent deal under former boss Ange Postecoglou.

Frank is said to have given the deal his approval, with Spurs making the move permanent, as Postecoglou had intended.

Tel made 20 appearances in all competitions for Spurs in 2024-25, scoring three goals and registering one assist.

He also created 20 chances for the team, with six of those classed as 'big', though he accumulated just 1.5 expected assists (xA).

With goals against Southampton and Wolves in April, Tel became just the fifth teenager to score in back-to-back Premier League appearances for Tottenham and the first since Dele Alli in February 2016.
