NBA star Wembanyama reportedly avoids further punishment, will play in Game 5
Victor Wembanyama's Game 4 ejection will reportedly not cost him any further discipline.
The San Antonio Spurs superstar was assessed with a Flagrant 2 and automatic ejection for elbowing Minnesota's Naz Reid above the neck in Sunday's 114-109 loss, but will not be fined or face a suspension.
The NBA has not officially announced a decision, but Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Monday that Wembanyama would face no additional punishment and is eligible to play in Game 5 of the Western Conference semi-final series on Tuesday in San Antonio.
The series is tied at two games apiece.

Wembanyama was ejected early in the second quarter of Game 4 after he swung his arms and struck his elbow into the region of Reid's neck after he got tangled up with Reid and Jaden McDaniels while grabbing a rebound.
It was initially ruled a foul and upgraded to a Flagrant 2, leading to the first ejection of Wembanyama's career.
The NBA Defensive Player of the Year and MVP finalist ended up playing just 12 minutes, finishing with four points, four rebounds, one assist and no blocks. This came after he had 39 points, 14 boards and five blocks in Friday’s 115-108 win that gave second-seeded San Antonio a 2-1 series lead.
The winner of Game 5 will have the chance to close out the series on Friday in Minnesota.
