Golden State Valkyries guard Kate Martin believes the fans had a huge impact in their 75-63 victory over the Indian Fever.

The game was marred by multiple delays, including one that lasted over 30 minutes, due to a malfunction with the shot clock.

However, the Valkyries fans remained loud throughout as their team put on a clinical display from beyond the arc.

Golden State made 12 of their 19 three-point attempts, with Illiana Rupert scoring five of her eight attempts on her way to 21 points and Martin draining all three of her shots from deep.

Veronica Burton also had another impressive game for the Valkyries, providing 13 assists along with eight points and seven rebounds.

Martin does not think their success from three-point attempts should come as a surprise, but thinks the fans played a role in their shot-making against the Fever.

"I think we have just been moving the ball really well and finding the open person," said Martin.

"Whenever we get our feet in the paint and spray out for a three, we just have a higher percentage of making them and we have been taking about taking good to great shots. We also have some really great basketball players on this team which helps.

"I feel like the crowd was our sixth man tonight. Through all the delays they brought the energy, cheering throughout the entire game.

"It is a testament to this fanbase and who they are. I feel really grateful, as we all do, we play in front of a crowd like that.

"As a shooter that makes you feel extra confident and makes you want to keep shooting whenever you hear how excited they get so I'm very appreciative."
