Nick Kyrgios is set to make his return to the ATP Tour at next month's Brisbane International.

The former Wimbledon finalist has endured a string of injury problems in recent years, with ankle, foot, knee and wrist issues restricting him to just one grand slam match since 2022.

Kyrgios has only played five singles matches in 2025, with his most recent coming in March when he lost to Karen Khachanov in the second round at the Miami Open.

However, the 30-year-old has been given a wildcard entry for the Brisbane International and will also compete in the Kooyong Classic warm-up exhibition event in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Open.

Before that, Kyrgios will play women's world number one Aryna Sabalenka in a 'Battle of the Sexes' exhibition match on December 28.

Having slipped to 673rd on the ATP rankings, the Australian will require a wildcard to compete at his home slam in Melbourne, which begins on January 18.
