Emersonn has become Gary O'Neil's first signing at Ipswich Town after joining from Toulouse.

The 21-year-old was also subject to interest from another newly promoted Premier League side, Hull City, but he has penned a five-year contract with Ipswich.

Ipswich have agreed a reported £26.6m (€31m) deal, including add-ons, with Toulouse.

Emersonn spent just one season with Toulouse in Ligue 1, making 28 appearances and netting six goals in the French top flight.

He finished the campaign as the club's second-highest scorer, while no Toulouse player had more shots on target (19) than him.

Ipswich Town is excited to announce the signing of Brazilian striker Emersonn.

The 21-year-old joins from French Ligue 1 side Toulouse for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five-year contract at Portman Road, running to the summer of 2031.

Ipswich, who finished second in the Championship to gain promotion to the Premier League, will face Sunderland at home in their first match back of the season.
