In-form Dodgers equal franchise record, Trout ties Angels mark
The in-form Los Angeles Dodgers equalled a franchise record in MLB, while Mike Trout tied an Angels mark on Friday.
The Dodgers improved to 30-10 this season thanks to a 10-6 victory over the Colorado Rockies.
That record equalled the best 40-game start in Dodgers' history, alongside the teams in 1955 and 1977.
Mookie Betts went three-for-five with two RBIs in the Dodgers' win.
Trout equalled Tim Salmon for the most home runs in Angels history during a 6-5 win over the Houston Astros.
The Angels star homered in the first inning for the 299th homer of his career.

Darvish and Tatis star again
Yu Darvish struck out 11 in seven innings and conceded just one hit to lead the Chicago Cubs past the St Louis Cardinals 4-1. He is 7-1 this season.
Fernando Tatis Jr.'s stellar season continued. He hit his 14th homer of the season in the San Diego Padres' 7-0 win over the Oakland Athletics.

Having struggled this season, Jake Arrieta finally found some form. The Philadelphia Phillies pitcher struck out seven and gave up just two runs in seven innings in a 5-3 victory against the New York Mets.
A loss to the Atlanta Braves in the first game of a doubleheader saw the Washington Nationals' streak of defeats stretch to seven. They snapped that with a 10-9 win in the second game.
The Baltimore Orioles finally beat the New York Yankees. They also lost game one of a doubleheader for a 19th consecutive loss to the Yankees, before winning the second match 6-3.
Godley battles
Boston Red Sox pitcher Zack Godley lasted just three innings, giving up five hits, four runs and two homers in an 8-7 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Ohtani walk-off
Shohei Ohtani hit a walk-off single in the 11th inning to give the Angels their victory.
