'Fulham have five more finals' – Leno optimistic of reaching European places despite draw with Brentford
Bernd Leno is relishing the Premier League run-in, claiming Fulham have "five more finals" in their European push.
The German goalkeeper played a crucial role in the Cottagers' 0-0 draw with Brentford on Saturday, making a stunning save to deny Dango Ouattara in the closing stages.
Marco Silva's side struggled at Gtech Community Stadium, though. None of Fulham's 10 shots at goal found the target, the first time they have finished a Premier League away game without a single shot on target since April 2023 (v Aston Villa).
Fulham have also won just one of their last eight Premier League away matches (D3 L4).
Indeed, just 35.6% of Fulham's 45 points in the Premier League have been picked up away from home (16 points - P17 W4 D4 L9), with only Wolves (29.4%) picking up a smaller share of their points on the road in the competition this season.
Although Fulham were far from their best at Brentford, Leno believes their point could be crucial come the final day of the season.
"These moments right at the end of the game are always the best," Leno told TNT Sports when asked about his save.
"I wasn't sure at first if I'd kept it out, but then my team-mates came up to me. I thought we deserved the point.
"We've got five more finals. Maybe this point can decisive at the end.
"Next week, we've got another big game [Aston Villa], and we look forward to it."

Brentford, meanwhile, have drawn each of their last six matches across all competitions, now their outright longest run of stalemates in their history.
Keith Andrews' side have also now drawn all four of their home games against fellow London sides in the Premier League this season, one of three sides yet to lose a home London derby this season (also Arsenal and Chelsea). However, they are also one of two yet to win one (also West Ham).
The Bees produced an expected goals (xG) total 1.36 to Fulham's 0.74, and Brentford boss Andrews believes his side looked stronger against their London rivals.
"I think if any team was likely to win it, it was going to be us," said Andrews.
"I'm very happy with the performance levels. Of course there were parts were we lacked quality at times, a ruthless edge that would have made the difference.
"The intent of the players was outstanding. We were playing against a good team, and like I said, overall I'm happy with how we played and approached the game."
