Tom Edozie revelled in a "dream come true" after his debut heroics for Wolves in their dramatic 2-2 draw with Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Edozie came off the bench to score in the 94th minute as lowly Wolves came from 2-0 down to frustrate the Gunners at a freezing Molineux.

While Arsenal missed the chance to move seven points clear at the summit, and they have now played a game more than their title rivals, Edozie's strike provided a rare highlight in a dismal season for Wolves.

Edozie is the seventh player to score on his Premier League debut against the side starting the day top of the table, and the first since Antony for Manchester United against Arsenal in September 2022.

He told BBC Sport: "It's a dream come true. Getting my debut is one thing and then scoring on my debut is another. Just so thankful, just so happy.

"As I was watching the game I saw the game becoming a bit tense and we had more control of the ball than before, so I knew that going into the last couple of minutes, it was going to be more end-to-end, so I just tried to do the best I can. Luckily, I scored.

"The ball dropped to me and just trying to keep it as low as people and just as hard as I can. They couldn't stop it, so it was my goal.

"Nothing was really going through my head, it was just loads of different emotions. I was so happy to be there when fans were cheering. Something I dream of."

Four players have scored their first Premier League goal against Arsenal this season, three of whom have done so for Wolves: Tolu Arokodare in December, and both Hugo Bueno and Edozie on Wednesday (along with Brian Brobbey for Sunderland in November).

Bueno curled in a stunner just five minutes after Piero Hincapie had put Arsenal 2-0 up, following Bukayo Saka's early opener.

Arsenal failed to win a Premier League away game in which they had a two-goal lead for the first time since April 2023 at West Ham, ending an 18-game winning run on the road when two goals ahead in the league.

Wolves, meanwhile, avoided defeat in a Premier League home game in which they trailed by 2+ goals for the first time since beating Manchester City 3-2 in December 2019, ending a 31-game losing run on home soil from two down.
