Bowen: West Ham cannot rely on other teams in Premier League relegation battle
Jarrod Bowen believes West Ham's Premier League clash against Wolves on Friday is a must-win game if they are to avoid relegation.
The Hammers are currently 18th in the English top-flight, though a win at the London Stadium on Friday would see them move above Tottenham in the standings.
West Ham have lost only one of their last six home Premier League games (W1 D4), collecting more points over that period (seven) than in their first nine home matches of 2025-26 (six – W2 L7).
And Bowen has more Premier League goals against Wolves than he does against any other side (six), with five of his six goals coming in his last five home matches against them, while also netting in each of his previous three.
The West Ham captain urged his side to make the most of playing before their relegation rivals this weekend, and doing so against bottom-side Wolves.
"It would mean the world," Bowen told Sky Sports when asked how it would feel to avoid relegation.

"This club means so much to me. In the situation that we're in, it hurts me probably more than anyone else.
"I'm trying to do is bring my A-game every single week and also get the team ready to bring their A-game.
"We know what we have to do in terms of steering away from relegation. We have a massive opportunity to do that.
"We have to win the game. It's a great opportunity for us before all the other teams play to get out of the relegation zone.
"You can only take control of your results, of your points. You can't be relying on other teams. We have to take the initiative and we have to go and get three points on Friday."
