Team Europe claimed their sixth Laver Cup title as Alexander Zverev's straight-sets victory over Learner Tien ensured a 13-5 victory in London on Sunday. 

Zverev followed up Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik's win in the doubles earlier in the day with a 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 win over Tien, though he had to save set point in the first set. 

The recently-crowned US Open champion has now appeared in (13) and won (eight) the most singles matches at the Laver Cup. 

Cobolli and Mensik got the ball rolling in the doubles, needing one hour and 37 minutes to earn a 7-5 6-3 win against Australian Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz of the United States. 

Zverev was put through his paces by Tien, but a dominant second set ensured Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Jodar would not have to compete in their respective singles matches. 

The German has clinched tournament victory for Team Europe at the Laver Cup for the fourth time after 2018 (Chicago), 2019 (Geneva) and 2021 (Boston) – the latter came alongside Andrey Rublev in the Doubles.

The triumph marks Yannick Noah's first Laver Cup title as Team Europe captain, having fallen short against Andre Agassi's Team World in San Francisco 12 months ago.

At the Billie Jean King Cup, Czechia were crowned champions for the first time since 2018 after Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova sealed a 2-0 victory over Ukraine. 

Muchova and Noskova booked Czechia's spot in the showpiece match by winning their singles matches against Cristina Bucsa and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro on Friday. 

Ukraine, meanwhile, defeated two-time defending champions Italy in the final four, with Anhelina Kalinina and Elina Svitolina beating Tyra Caterina Grant and Jasmine Paolini to reach the showpiece for the first time.

And Czechia proved to be too strong for Ukraine, with Muchova getting the final started with a 6-2 6-3 victory against Anhelina Kalinina before Noskova clinched the title against Svitolina with a hard-fought 6-3 7-6 (7-5) triumph.
