A'ja Wilson says she is "blessed" to have her name in the WNBA history books, and she is not "taking this moment for granted".

Wilson became the only player in the league's history to have multiple 1,000-point seasons after helping the Las Vegas Aces to a 98-77 victory over the league-worst Seattle Storm.

She scored 30 points for the 12th time this season to take her tally for the season beyond 1,000, having also previously hit that mark in 2024.

On that occasion, she became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 points in a season, scoring 1,021 across 38 games to set the league's single-season scoring record.

Wilson is averaging 26.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists this season.

"I don't take this moment for granted," Wilson told reporters.

"When you're able to be in the record books for the WNBA, it's a pretty big deal considering how many players have played this game, how many players are playing the game currently.

"I'm blessed to be in this situation."

Earlier this season, Wilson became the fastest player to reach 6,000 career points, doing so in 278 games before then becoming the second player in WNBA history to hit the 6,500 mark.

The Aces are on a five-game winning streak, which leaves them third in the table.
