
Wilson, Aces pull away from Clark, Fever
A’ja Wilson scored 10 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter, and the Las Vegas Aces earned an 89-81 win over a cold-shooting Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
Las Vegas trailed after three quarters but won the final frame 31-20 as the Aces snapped a three-game losing streak.
Wilson added seven rebounds and two blocked shots. Jackie Young had 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Las Vegas, while Chelsea Gray added 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting.
Clark totalled 19 points and 10 assists but again struggled shooting from distance, shooting 1 for 10 from 3-point range. She was 0 for 7 on 3-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Golden State Valkyries.
Aliyah Boston led the Fever with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
Ogwumike, Storm hand Liberty 2nd straight loss
Nneka Ogwumike had 26 points and seven rebounds, Skylar Diggins added 20 points and the Seattle Storm defeated the New York Liberty 89-79, handing the reigning WNBA champions their second consecutive loss.
Gabby Williams contributed 12 points to the Storm’s cause and added a game-high 10 assists to help Seattle win their third straight game.
New York committed 20 turnovers in the game, and the Storm scored 22 points off of them.
The Liberty, who continue to play without Jonquel Jones due to an ankle injury, were also without Sabrina Ionescu (neck) on Sunday.
Breanna Stewart finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, while Marine Johannes added 17 points.
Dream dominate 4th quarter to beat Sky
Rhyne Howard scored 22 points, and the Atlanta Dream played lock-down defence down the stretch to beat the Chicago Sky 93-80.
Howard scored nine points in the fourth quarter as the Dream won the final frame 24-11.
Atlanta was propelled by red-hot shooting from Allisha Gray, who finished 5 for 8 from 3-point range, and Te-Hina Paopao, 5 of 6.

Ariel Atkins set the pace for Chicago, finishing with 29 points.
Angel Reese, the WNBA’s leading rebounder, pulled down 19 boards but was 3 of 11 from the field and finished with 10 points.
