White relieved Fever got back to winning ways
Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White says it was a "relief" to bounce back from their loss to the Atlanta Dream and praised her team's resilience.
Caitlin Clark returned to the Fever line-up after recovering from a strained quadricep, and scored a season-high 32 points to help Indiana to a 102-88 win over the New York Liberty, who lost for the first time in the WNBA this season.
Clark was out for five games, with Indiana posting a 2-3 record in that time, and she scored 25 of her points in the first half. She also grabbed nine assists and eight rebounds.
She finished 11-for-20 shooting, including tying her career-high with seven made 3-pointers in 14 attempts. The Fever also set a franchise record with 17 made 3s in 35 attempts (48.6%).
Indiana improved their record to 5-5 for the season, but White is keen not to let her players get overexcited, despite beating one of the in-form teams.
"Emotionally, it's a relief, it's a lift," White said. "The biggest thing is this team is resilient.

"It hasn't been easy, and it's not going to be. Winning is hard. You've got to go through the ups and downs, the ebbs and flows.
"This group, they stay together. They draw strength from one another; I draw strength from them. Every single day we take one step forward together, we're building trust."
The Fever, who are third in the Eastern Conference, are back at home against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday.
