Tonali to hold transfer talks with Newcastle at end of season, says agent Riso
Sandro Tonali’s agent Beppr Riso has revealed that the midfielder will hold transfer talks with Newcastle United at the end of the season.
The Italy international was linked with a potential move to Arsenal on deadline day, while Serie A giants Juventus were also said to be interested in the 25-year-old.
Tonali has played more Premier League games than any other Newcastle player this season (24), with the former AC Milan man also featuring in seven Champions League matches.
He has completed the third-most passes for his side in the English top flight this term (879) and won the sixth-most duels (78), while only Bruno Guimaraes (245,038 km) has covered more distance than the Italian for the team (215,988 km).
Tonali is yet to get on the scoresheet in any competition for the Magpies in the 2025-26 campaign, but has registered four assists.
Reports emerged on deadline day that Tonali was offered to the Gunners by his agent, who has now said the Italian will hold talks at St. James Park later this year.
"Newcastle find it hard to part with Sandro, and he wants to take the club into the Champions League," Riso told Tuttosport.

"These transfer talks will be held later on. We’ll see how the season ends and then decide what to do.
"There’s no preference at the moment. It’s still early. What we say today might not be valid tomorrow.
"Newcastle didn’t want to part with him now, and it was not the case to move elsewhere because Sandro is really tied to the club. We’ll decide what to do in the summer."
Newcastle are 11th in the Premier League ahead of their fixture against Brentford on Saturday, with the Magpies eight points off the Champions League places.
They also qualified for the play-off round of the Champions League, where they face Qarabag for a spot in the last 16.
