Iga Swiatek booked her place in the Korea Open final after putting together successive victories over Barbora Krejcikova and Maya Joint on Saturday.

Swiatek had not played two matches on the same day since defeating Simona Waltert and Celine Naef in last year's Billie Jean King Cup finals, but she repeated the trick here.

After her quarter-final exit at the US Open, Swiatek has since laid down a statement in Seoul, downing Krejcikova 6-0 6-3 before beating Joint 6-0 6-2 to reach the final.

Swiatek surged through the opening set against Krejickova, and while the former Wimbledon champion offered a response in the second, she proved no match for the Pole.

Adverse weather conditions had seen Swiatek's quarter-final clash with Krejcikova cancelled on Friday, meaning it was a quick turnaround before she was back on the court.

But Swiatek continued where she left off against Joint, who had stunned Clara Tauson to reach the final four, with a commanding performance.

As she did against Krejcikova in her first match of the day, Swiatek bageled Joint in the first set before sealing her progression to the showpiece match with a volley at the net.

Swiatek will face either Katerina Siniakova or second seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in Sunday's final.

Data Debrief: Sensational Swiatek keeps on winning

With the daunting prospect of playing two matches in quick succession, Swiatek showed the grit and resilience that has seen her lift six grand slam titles in her career.

Indeed, she has now won 15 sets with a 6-0 scoreline in WTA level events this season, over twice as many than second-placed Alexandrova, who she could meet in the final.

Swiatek's triumphs saw her reach 56 wins in 2025, while she has also now emerged victorious in 21 of her last 23 matches as she bids for her first Korea Open crown.
