Rowe targeting Premier League return and England World Cup spot
Jonathan Rowe believes the Premier League is the "best league in the world" as he targets a return to the English top-flight in the future.
The 22-year-old previously represented Norwich City in the Premier League, making 13 appearances off the bench for the Canaries.
Rowe then left Carrow Road for Marseille ahead of the 2024-25 season, but spent just one campaign in France as a bust-up with Adrien Rabiot saw both players leave the club last summer.
After a slow start to life with Bologna, Rowe has now found his feet with the Serie A club.
Since the start of 2026, Rowe has scored five goals and provided three assists in all competitions, the joint-most direct goal contributions of any Bologna player (Santiago Castro, also eight).
Bologna knocked Roma out of the Europa League, with Rowe scoring twice and assisting once in the last 16 win, while he also scored the winner in a 2-1 league win over Cremonese before the international break.
Although he is currently focused on performing for Bologna, Rowe is eyeing a move back to the Premier League down the line.
"It is the best league in the world," Rowe told Corriere di Bologna.
"Debuting in 2021 was an honour, and it made me want to play many games there. One always aspires to the highest level.
"I don't know when, but one day I want to go back to play there."

Rowe also revealed he wants to make a push for England's World Cup squad this summer.
Rowe faces tough competition for a spot on the left wing from the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Gordon, but the Bologna man is confident in his abilities.
"Yes, there are two months left, and I will try to attract the coach's [Thomas Tuchel] attention as much as possible," added Rowe.
"The fear of wasting my qualities pushed me to always give my best every day, so as not to have regrets when I would look back at my career or my life. I think it shows when I play."
