Danny Rohl believes Rangers' "quality, spirit and mentality" was embodied by their fightback in Sunday's thrilling 6-3 win at Falkirk.

Rangers found themselves two goals down inside 26 minutes after strikes from Ben Broggio and Finn Yeats at Falkirk Stadium.

But Tochi Chukwuani's controversial finish three minutes before half-time, firing home after Falkirk claimed a cross had gone out of play, inspired a remarkable turnaround.

Youssef Chermiti levelled soon after the interval before Nico Raskin sent Rangers ahead and then teed up half-time substitute Bojan Miovski, who rounded off the scoring with his second in the 88th minute.

Chermiti had also added another after Calvin Miller's penalty reduced the deficit to 4-3, as Rangers emphatically moved within one point of Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts, much to Rohl's delight.

"I'm proud of the outcome. The start was very difficult, not what we want. We needed to adapt to the conditions," the Rangers boss said.

"The reaction from my group was crucial, to score to make it 2-1 before half-time. The second half was just one direction. We played forward, created a lot of chances."

Only once previously this season had the Premiership's top three all won on the same weekend in this epic title battle, proving how important this result was for Rohl.

And having smashed Aberdeen 4-1 before beating Dundee United 4-2, Rangers have now won their last four league games, including a narrow victory over St. Mirren last month.

"Three games in a row, with 14 goals, shows how we want to play. It's a consequence of the last few months and weeks. I try to give my team calmness and belief," Rohl added.

But it could have been a different story, if not for Miller going agonisingly close to netting another two minutes later after scoring from the penalty spot when James Tavernier clumsily tripped Filip Lissah.

"I showed them solutions, but it's about my players; they delivered today," Rohl continued.

"They were very honest to each other at half-time. My group has quality, spirit, belief and mentality to go until the end."
