Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs will both miss the rest of the season.

Crosby needs arthroscopic ankle surgery, while Diggs needs surgery on his left knee, according to a source.

Crosby, 27, was already ruled out for Monday night’s matchup with the Atlanta Falcons and is expected to have the surgery in the coming week. He had been battling through an ankle injury all season after originally hurting it in Week 2.

Even with the injury, Crosby still leads the league with 17 tackles for loss and also has 7 ½ sacks and 20 quarterback hits.

In 95 career games, Crosby has 59 ½ sacks, 105 tackles for loss and 144 quarterback hits.

Diggs returned to the field for last week’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals after missing two games with groin and knee injuries.

His current injury is not related to the ACL he tore in practice last year before the Cowboys’ third game.

Diggs played 11 games this season and had 44 tackles, two interceptions and 11 pass deflections.

He is the fifth former Pro Bowler to be placed on injured reserve this year by Dallas, joining Dak Prescott (hamstring avulsion), Zack Martin (ankle), DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) and DaRon Bland (foot). Micah Parsons missed four games with a high ankle sprain but was not placed on injured reserve.

The Raiders (2-11) are tied for the NFL’s worst record and the Cowboys (5-8) have been all but eliminated from playoff contention.
