Pistons star Duren to miss at least two weeks
The Detroit Pistons will be without star centre Jalen Duren until November because of a right hamstring strain.
Duren exited Friday's 128-111 road win over the Miami Heat with a hamstring injury, and the team announced Sunday he'll be re-evaluated in two weeks.
The injury comes just over three weeks after the Pistons and Duren, 22, agreed to a new five-year, $200million contract.
A first-time All-Star in 2025-26, Duren averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds on 65 per cent shooting in 70 games while helping Detroit secure the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
After tallying 22 points and nine rebounds in the Pistons' 121-113 season-opening victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, he had four points, six boards and three assists in 10 minutes against the Heat before coming out.
