Nottingham Forest edged themselves out of the Premier League relegation zone despite being held to a 0-0 draw with Fulham at the City Ground, where Dan Ndoye had a goal ruled out.

With West Ham earning a shock point against Manchester City on Saturday, the pressure was on Forest, who had dropped into bottom three ahead of kick-off.

Despite producing a strong performance, Vitor Periera's side could not find a breakthrough, though they came close on a number of occasions.

Ola Aina initially struck the crossbar midway through the second half with a swerving shot, before substitute Ndoye thought he had broken the deadlock as he volleyed neatly past Bernd Leno.

But Forest's celebrations were cut short immediately as the goal was ruled out for offside against Ndoye following a VAR review, with the forward suffering a similar fate earlier in the half after being brought down by Calvin Bassey inside the box.

Fulham also had their chances, with Bassey heading straight at Matz Sels from close range in the first half, while Rodrigo Muniz saw a wicked goalbound shot blocked superbly by Aina.

Taiwo Awoniyi twice went close late on, but Forest could not find a winner that would have had them breathing a touch easier.

Data Debrief: Fulham fire blanks while Forest's winless run rolls on

Marco Silva's Fulham have largely built a reputation for their attractive, attacking style of play, but that fluency was missing at the City Ground as they failed to register a shot on target for just the second time this season, having also done so against Arsenal in October.

Fulham missed the chance to move level with Everton in eighth, but they have now picked up 41 points.

Only in 1959-60 (45), 2022-23 (42) and 2024-25 (45) have Fulham picked up more points after their opening 30 top-flight matches (adjusted for three points for a win), with three of those four campaigns coming under Silva.

Forest, meanwhile, are now winless in their last seven Premier League games. Their previous longer run without a victory came between 24 August and 1 November 2025, a stretch of nine matches.

They have also failed to score in 14 of their 30 league games this season. Only Wolves (15) have drawn a blank more often in the Premier League.
