New Zealand avoid T20I series sweep as Phillips stars against India
New Zealand have avoided a T20I series sweep after thrashing India by 87 runs in the fourth match.
Glenn Phillips smashed 107 off 49 balls as the Black Caps set a total of 259-7 in Auckland, while Jacob Duffy took four wickets to help secure victory.
After Finn Allen (31) and Daryl Mitchell (24) got New Zealand off to a strong start, Phillips and Michael Bracewell (65) formed a 115-run partnership off just 41 balls to pile the pressure on India.
And the tourists' reply got off to a nightmare start, as Duffy (4-23) dismissed both Sanju Samson (4) and Ishan Kishan (0) in the first over.
Abhishek Sharma (27) and Shreyas Iyer (22) also departed in the powerplay, before Mitchell Santner (2-24) picked off Nitish Kumar Reddy (21) and Axar Patel (7) in the same over to leave India 89-6.
Duffy returned to dismiss Naman Dhir (28) and Arshdeep Singh (0) in back-to-back deliveries, as India managed just 172-9 in their 20 overs.

New Zealand gain much-needed momentum
With one more T20I, five ODIs and two Tests left to play on this tour, New Zealand's first win over India in this series has come at an important time.
A series sweep would have been demoralising ahead of another five-match white-ball series, but Phillips and Duffy combined to ensure that would not be the case.
Phillips scored 10 sixes in his innings, four of which came against Reddy in the 16th over, which went for a total of 32 runs.
New Zealand's 259 is the highest T20 score ever to be recorded in the country, with Phillips' third T20I century doing much of the damage.
Duffy fell short of a maiden five-wicket haul for New Zealand in the shortest format, but recorded four wickets in a single innings for the sixth time in his Black Caps career.
