Moyes expects Everton arrival as George rumours swirl
David Moyes is confident of a new signing at Everton amid reported loan interest in Chelsea's Tyrique George.
Everton are looking to strengthen their options in the wide areas following a season-ending foot injury to Jack Grealish.
Reports suggest 19-year-old winger George, who has featured just four times for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, is top of their list of targets.
Following the 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, Moyes was asked if he expected his squad to be bolstered before Monday's transfer deadline. He replied: "Yes, I do."
The Toffees fell behind in the 73rd minute at the Amex Stadium when Pascal Gross struck for the first time since returning from Borussia Dortmund.
However, Beto equalised deep into stoppage time to salvage a point for Everton. With 96 minutes and 20 seconds on the clock, it was the latest match-altering goal Everton have scored away from home in the Premier League (since 2006-07).
The Portugal forward pounced after Bart Verbruggen blocked Jake O'Brien's shot, leaving skipper James Tarkowski delighted.
"Everyone says it about Beto: he's one of the hardest workers in the team. Never gives up. Always open to criticism and how to improve, how to get better," said Tarkowski.
"He is continuously trying to improve his game. He deserves moments like that because he puts so much effort in."

Brighton have now won just one of their past 11 Premier League games and the result was greeted by some boos from the fans, but their head coach Fabian Hurzeler is remaining positive.
"I think in life, you have two choices. You can feel sorry for yourself, you can get in a mood where you get self-pity, or you choose to go again," said Hurzeler.
"If you choose that, tough times build a tough personality, and that's what we try to do.
"We will go again. We showed good reactions after we had a very disappointing loss against Fulham, and we will do it again because next weekend there's the next opportunity, the next chance to do this, and that's what we try to go for, and I will be the role model for that."
