Man Utd bolster midfield with addition of Tielemans
Manchester United have completed the signing of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.
The Belgian has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford, having joined in a deal reportedly worth £35m.
Tielemans, who spent three seasons with Villa, was part of last season's Europa League-winning team, scoring the first goal in a 3-0 win over Freiburg.
In total, the 29-year-old made 134 appearances for Villa in all competitions, netting 10 goals while also registering 24 assists in that time.
He also captained Belgium at the World Cup this summer, leading them to the quarter-finals, where they were knocked out by Spain.

"It's hard to describe just how proud I am to join Manchester United," Tielemans told the club's website.
"Signing for such a special club feels incredible; it is the culmination of years of dedication since I first fell in love with football.
"I have had the privilege of experiencing success in the game, and it has only increased my determination to achieve more.
"The ambition from everyone at the club is extremely clear; we are all determined to push for the biggest trophies over the coming years."
Amongst attackers and midfielders, Tielemans broke the most defensive lines per 100 passes in the Premier League, as well as making the second-most line-breaking passes under pressure.
Among Villa players in the top-flight in 2025-26, only Matty Cash (66) attempted more tackles than Tielemans (58), though the Belgian won the most in the team (36).
