Man Utd agree deal with Sweden defender Lundkvist
Manchester United have announced they have agreed a deal to sign Sweden defender Hanna Lundkvist.
Lundkvist left the San Diego Wave last week and will join United on January 1 after committing to a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Women's Super League club.
The right-back made 56 appearances across two seasons with San Diego in the NWSL, scoring three goals all in the league.
Prior to that, she played for AIK, Hammarby and Atletico Madrid, making 179 appearances across her club career.
"I am really excited to be here; Manchester United is a club with an amazing history," she told the club's website.

"You can feel how much they have grown in the last few years, competing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the Champions League.
"Speaking with Marc [Skinner] and the coaches confirmed all the great things I have heard about the culture of the team here. I cannot wait to get started and help the group to achieve more success."
Lundkvist has also made 17 appearances for Sweden and played in all three of their games at Euro 2025 in July.
She is United's first signing of the January transfer window, which Marc Skinner promised would be "aggressive" from the club as they look to build on their current position of fourth in the WSL.
