Liverpool draw can serve as 'turning point' for Tottenham, says Tudor
Igor Tudor hopes Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Liverpool can serve as a turning point in their bid to avoid Premier League relegation.
Spurs are still yet to win a league match in 2026 and had lost each of Tudor's first four games in charge across all competitions going into the clash at Anfield.
However, Richarlison popped up with a 90th-minute equaliser against Liverpool to cancel out Dominik Szoboszlai's first-half free-kick and earn Tudor a first point in charge.
It is a draw that moves Spurs one point clear of the relegation zone, having slipped towards the drop after West Ham and Nottingham Forest both drew earlier in the weekend.
Just two of the 92 teams from England's top-four tiers have failed to win a league game this calendar year, with Spurs (P12 D5 L7) sharing that unwanted record with Sheffield Wednesday, who have already been relegated from the Championship.
But Tudor, who also oversaw a humbling 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in midweek, took hope from the fighting spirit Spurs displayed against the reigning Premier League champions.
Asked if he got the "fight" he spoke about after their last match, Tudor told Sky Sports: "Yes. It is an amazing, incredible point we take here, and deserving. We showed team spirit. Congratulations to the guys.
"It is very difficult to even explain our circumstances. In training, we prepared in one way. This morning, Conor [Gallagher] says that he is not able to play, so we need to change the players and positions.

"The moment is really strange and even more challenging to show who we are. The players were really amazing.
"The team spirit was amazing. This was the main demand. The quality is there. Every point is crucial; we are just going game by game. We hope today is a turning point."
This was the 14th time Spurs have trailed at half-time in a Premier League game at Anfield, but it was just the third time they have avoided defeat (D3).
And captain Pedro Porro insisted how important it is for Spurs to remain united in their fight if they are to achieve their goal of staying in the Premier League.
"We needed to push because it was a difficult game," he told Sky Sports. "The team was good, the fans were unbelievable also, and we keep going now.
"I always believe in my team. In this moment, you need everyone together, and we had a good game. For now, we take the point, take the positives.
"We knew we had to stay 1-0 in the second half, and this was important for the game. We are playing for the manager, and this is important for everyone now."
