Leeds boss Farke defends 'butterfly' Bogle after 'unlucky' Tel challenge
Daniel Farke insisted Jayden Bogle is the "softest player" in the Premier League, after his rash challenge on Mathys Tel went unpunished during Leeds United's 1-0 win over Tottenham.
Leeds got back to winning ways after a run of five matches without success, as Noah Okafor climbed off the bench to secure all three points at Elland Road.
However, the hosts were fortunate not to have been reduced to 10 men during the first half, when Bogle caught Tel on his Achilles with a late challenge, which forced the Spurs winger to leave the field.
Following a four-minute VAR review, Tony Harrington advised referee John Brooks not to go to his pitchside monitor, with the incident only deemed "reckless".
However, Farke jumped to the defence of the Leeds wing-back.
"I just know that Jayden Bogle never, out of any bad intention, does the foul," he told TNT Sports. "It looked a bit like an unlucky coming together – a very unlucky outcome that Mathys is injured right now.
"But I know Jadon Bogle – the last thing is that he is a nasty player.

"He's normally probably the softest player in the whole league. I always call him my butterfly. Never out of bad intention, he's there with the foul – that's what I can guarantee.
"But of course, I hope that Mathys can recover pretty quickly."
Leeds also extended their unbeaten home run in the Premier League to nine matches (W5 D4), which represents their longest streak since going 15 without defeat in 2001.
And Farke was pleased to be heading into the international break with a victory.
"There's no replacement for the winning feeling after a game in the dressing room," he said. "It's important for the mood and the confidence.
"The momentum can change quickly in most directions. We've played one of the most in-form sides.
"Of course, we've had a difficult spell in the last few games. It's good to have the winning feeling back. The boys were on it, very united. Credit to my boys."
