Lakers guard Reaves to miss at least one month
Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves will miss at least a month due to a strained left calf, the team said Friday.
Reaves, who will be evaluated again in approximately four weeks, didn’t play in the second half of the Lakers' 119-96 loss to Houston on Thursday. He had 12 points before leaving what became Los Angeles' third straight loss.
That was Reaves' second game back after he had missed three in a row, also with a strained left calf. He is second on the Lakers behind Luka Doncic with 26.6 points per game and was making a strong case for an All-Star selection, also adding 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
His absence likely means more minutes for Marcus Smart, Dalton Knecht and potentially Bronny James.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves has been diagnosed with a grade 2 left gastrocnemius strain and will be reevaluated in four weeks.
