Harry Kane just cannot stop scoring.

The forward continued his fine form for Bayern Munich this season, with his first strike against Werder Bremen on Saturday bringing up his 300th goal in the top five European leagues.

Kane netted a brace in a 3-0 win for Bayern, with his first goal coming from the penalty spot after a foul on Lennart Karl.

He rifled it into the left side of the net to put the league leaders in front, before getting his second just three minutes later, guiding a long-range effort into the back of the net.

It has taken Kane 405 matches across his time with Bayern, Tottenham and Norwich City (on loan in 2012-13) to hit that landmark, averaging 0.74 goals per game.

After watching the England captain hit yet another goalscoring milestone, we dive into the Opta data to look at how he reached his total.

Kane has netted 88 goals for Bayern since he joined ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, recording some of his most prolific seasons.

His best scoring campaign in the top five leagues came in his first season at Bayern, as he netted 36 goals in 32 matches, averaging a goal every 79 minutes.

However, his best minute-per-goal ratio is this season, as he is hitting the back of the net every 68 minutes, having scored 26 goals in his 22 matches so far.

Kane has won the Golden Boot in both of his full seasons at Bayern, making him the first player in the Bundesliga's history to win the award in his first two campaigns.

The bulk of Kane's tally came at Tottenham, where he is the club's all-time top scorer in all competitions.

He netted 213 times for Spurs in the Premier League, across 317 matches, averaging 0.67 goals per game.

Kane hit 30 goals in a single season twice across his 11-year spell, doing so in 2017-18 and 2022-23. Surprisingly, he did not win the Golden Boot in either of those campaigns, but he clinched the prize three times otherwise – in 2015-16 (25 goals), 2016-17 (29) and 2020-21 (23).

The 32-year-old has built his reputation as one of the great goalscorers, in part due to his poaching ability; he has scored 267 of his goals from inside the box, with the other 34 coming from distance.

Overall, the England captain has scored 190 of his goals with his favoured right foot, with a further 54 coming from his left – just one fewer than with his head (55).

And Kane is also a calm influence from the spot, converting 56 penalties in the top five European leagues (33 for Spurs, 23 for Bayern).

In the Bundesliga, he has registered a 25.5% shot conversion rate. With Spurs in the Premier League, he converted 18.1% of his attempts, while at Norwich in 2012-13, he did not score with any of his four shots.

His most clinical season in terms of shot-conversion rate is 2025-26, as he has so far registered an incredible figure of 30.6% (26 goals from 85 shots).

In total, he has had 1,524 shots on goal (four at Norwich, 1,175 at Spurs and 345 with Bayern), with 694 of those on target.

Given his rampant form as he attempts to lead Bayern to a second consecutive Bundesliga title, it is no surprise that Kane also hit another landmark against Werder.

With his brace at the Weserstadion, Kane has now scored 500 senior career goals for club and country, with 100 of these coming from the penalty spot.

And few would bet against him reaching new goalscoring heights in the coming seasons.
