Johnson hails Wembanyama's unselfish play in win over Timberwolves
San Antonio Spurs coach Mitch Johnson says Victor Wembanyama's collaboration with his team-mates will be key to their success.
The Spurs lost their first two games of the NBA season, but they have now won each of their last four, with Wembanyama starring in a 121-111 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
Wembanyama had 43 points, seven rebounds, six blocks and four assists, and was 17 of 34 from the field.
He reached 40 points for the 10th time in the regular season and the 11th time in his career.
He had a career-high 34 shots, marking the first time the Spurs have triumphed when the Frenchman finished with 30 attempts or more.
"When he plays with his team-mates, it really causes a problem for the other team, whether that's spacing, handling the basketball, playing a two-man game or a three-man game," Johnson said.
"The best players in this league, when they play with their team-mates, it's damn near impossible at times [to stop].
"You've got to just choose how they beat you. He's made some fine improvement in a short amount of time."

Dylan Harper added 25 points and six assists for San Antonio in the opener of a three-game homestand, while De'Aaron Fox scored 20.
But Harper was particularly impressed by Wembanyama and how he led the team's victory.
"He's just so dominant," said Harper. "When he puts his imprint on the game, he's unstoppable.
"He did that from the jump to the end of the game."
