Prabath Jayasuriya completed his five-wicket haul as Sri Lanka wrapped up their series victory over Bangladesh, only requiring 30 minutes of play on day four of the second Test.

Sri Lanka had dropped Bangladesh to 115-6 by stumps on Thursday, leaving the tourists 96 runs short of the hosts' first-inning score.

Having taken two wickets as part of a masterful display of spin bowling on day three, Jayasuriya added three more as Sri Lanka ripped through the Bangladesh tail in quick time.

Just three deliveries into his first over of the day, Jayasuriya had Litton Das' (14) edge taken by Kusal Mendis. And two overs later, the same duo combined to have Nayeem Hasan (5) stumped.

Jayasuriya's fifth wicket of the innings followed soon afterwards as he took an easy return catch from Taijul Islam (6), then Tharindu Ratnayake finished things off by trapping Ebadot Hossain (6) lbw.

Having edged the two-match series 1-0 following a drawn first Test, Sri Lanka will now look to back up the result in the shortened formats, ahead of three-match ODI and T20 series.

Data Debrief: Five-star Jayasuriya

Jayasuriya finished with figures of 5-56 to bring up his 12th five-wicket haul in Test cricket.

His excellent spin bowling ensured Bangladesh only lasted 34 balls on Saturday morning, with Das' dismissal getting the ball rolling.

Das has now been dismissed 114 times in Tests – the most by any wicketkeeper in Bangladesh's history, surpassing Mushfiqur Rahim (113).
