Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea for a fee that could reportedly reach £65m.

Villa are selling Ollie Watkins to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal for a reported £50m.

Unai Emery confirmed on Friday that Watkins had said his goodbyes, and that Jackson was in the process of completing his switch from Chelsea.

Villa have now officially unveiled their new striker, who has joined in a deal worth an initial £47.5m plus £17.5m in add-ons.

Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023 and scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues across all competitions.

The 25-year-old spent last term on loan at Bayern Munich, where he served as understudy to Harry Kane and scored 11 goals.

Jackson could be set to make his Villa debut on Monday, when they host Premier League champions Arsenal.

Villa were hammered 4-0 by Brighton in their opening game of the season.

Earlier on Friday, news broke that Villa were closing in on signing Jackson's Senegalese compatriot Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain.
