'I back Ferrari 100%', says Hamilton after reports of rift following chairman's comments
Lewis Hamilton has denied reports of a rift with Ferrari chairman John Elkann, insisting "I back this team 100%".
Ferrari endured a double retirement at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix last time out, with both Hamilton and team-mate Charles Leclerc failing to register points for the third time this season.
This led to Elkmann suggesting the pair should "focus on driving and talk less".
Following those comments, though, both drivers were quick to dismiss any suggestions of a rift within the camp.
"John and I speak almost every week, so we have a great relationship," Hamilton said. "I didn't have a reaction to it. We look into those things too much."
"I know John is a very ambitious person and wants to push everyone to the maximum to get the maximum results," Leclerc added. "He loves Ferrari, I love Ferrari, we all love Ferrari, and we try to do the best in every situation."

Ferrari, who were runners-up to McLaren last season, find themselves in fourth place in the Constructors' Championship standings, but Hamilton insists the team needs time to gel.
"I joined this team knowing full well that it takes time to steer a ship in a different direction," the seven-time world champion said. "This is a huge team. There are so many little parts and we can't fix it quickly. It takes real time.
"It's like we're climbing up a mountain, and then you arrive at the weekend, and you slip a few steps back or 10 steps back. You then have to get back up and try again.
"I back this team 100%, and I back myself 100%. I know that when we get things right, it's going to be amazing. I truly believe that's going to happen."
