French Open: Swiatek overcomes serve issues to best Bejlek
Iga Swiatek struggled on serve at times, but continued her fine start to the French Open with a straight-sets win in the second round over Sara Bejlek.
Having spent just an hour in the court in her opening match, Swiatek was put to a sterner test by Bejlek, though the Pole prevailed 6-2 6-3 in 94 minutes.
Though Swiatek got the first break to take a 2-0 lead, the pair failed to hold serve in the opening stages, though the four-time Roland-Garros champion soon found her footing with a three-game winning streak.
She failed to serve out the first set at 5-2 up, and it took her four set points to get over the line with a fourth break of the match.
The second followed a similar pattern, with Swiatek going 2-0 up before trading breaks with a spirited Bejlek.
The Czech threatened a comeback as she broke Swiatek's serve for the fourth time in the match to pull back the scoreline to 4-3, but the third seed won the final two games without dropping a point to book her place in the third round.
Swiatek will face either fellow Pole Magda Linette or Jelena Ostapenko, whom she has lost all six previous meetings against, next.

Data Debrief: Swiatek on top
Swiatek has always loved playing at Roland-Garros – evident from her four grand slam wins – and she continued her fine run in Paris on Wednesday.
She has become the player with the most wins in women's singles at the French Open after her first 45 main-draw matches in the Open Era (42, equalling Chris Evert).
And in the Open Era, only Rafael Nadal (54) and Bjorn Borg (33) have faced more unseeded players than Swiatek (27) at Roland-Garros without ever losing.
Swiatek has become just the ninth woman in the Open Era to reach the third round in each of her first eight main-draw appearances at the tournament, joining names such as Evert, Monica Seles and Serena Williams.
