Firpo heads back to Real Betis after Leeds exit
Junior Firpo has completed his return to Real Betis after leaving Leeds on a free transfer.
Firpo has signed a three-year deal at the club where he made his professional debut in February 2018.
He joined the Betis academy in 2014 before progressing through their reserves and into the first team.
Ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, the left-back joined Barcelona.
An underwhelming two seasons with the Blaugrana, though, led to a Premier League transfer to Leeds. He was relegated in his second campaign with the club, but helped them return to the English top flight last season.
Firpo, who now represents the Dominican Republic at international level, had one of his best spells during Leedsโ title-winning season in the Championship.
He registered 10 assists in the league, more than any other defender in the competition last season, and also contributed four goals in 32 matches.
