Fabregas 'free to go to Chelsea if he wishes', says Como chief
Como president Mirwan Suwarso says the club will not block Cesc Fabregas from leaving to join Chelsea, should he wish to move to the Premier League.
The Blues sacked Liam Rosenior earlier this week following a five-match losing streak in the Premier League, with Fabregas one of the names now linked to the vacant position.
The Spaniard spent five years as a player at Chelsea, making 198 appearances in all competitions and winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League.
Fabregas has been in charge of Como since July 2024, when he signed a four-year contract, and has led them to fifth place in the Serie A standings this season, though they are five points behind Juventus in the Champions League race with five games remaining.
He has already distanced himself from an exit from Como earlier this month, claiming he is "very involved and attached" to the club, where he is a minority stakeholder.

But when asked if Como would want to see Fabregas move on to a Premier League club, Suwarso told City AM: "If that makes him happy, that's him.
"You want your employees to stay with you for as long as possible, but at the end of the day, we don't own him, and he's free to go to Chelsea if he wishes."
Suwarso added that if he were to leave, there are plans in place to allow him to keep Fabregas' financial interests at Como, "as long as he doesn't leave to an Italian club in competition".
Como travel to Genoa in Serie A on Sunday, looking to end their three-match winless streak in the competition.
