John Eustace vowed to fight on as Derby County's Championship woes continued in a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Norwich City at Pride Park.

Just three days on from shipping the same amount in a 4-1 reverse at Millwall, Derby were outclassed on home turf to remain on just one win from 14 second-tier games.

Anthony Musaba pounced from close range to put Norwich into an eighth-minute lead, before Paris Maghoma netted a third goal in as many games with a precise effort.

Darlin Yongwa lashed home a third shortly before the break, and Jovon Makama hammered in a beauty off the underside of the crossbar to make it three wins on the spin for Philippe Clement's improving Canaries, who are up to 12th.

Derby have conceded four goals in back-to-back league games for the first time since October 2000.

It is already looking desperate for the 23rd-place Rams, who are seven points from safety.

Under-pressure manager Eustace still believes he can get his team going, telling BBC Radio Derby: "I'm confident I can turn things around, I'm certainly not giving up – it's a tough period but when we get through it eventually it'll make us stronger again.

"Seven points [from safety] at this stage is not great but not the end of the world – this performance wasn't at the level, we're trying to mix the team up to try to find a solution while we're in this difficult situation.

"Throughout the season we haven't been good enough or strong enough as a group, which we've got to fix for the game on Friday.

"Tactically, I got it wrong and I'll take full responsibility for the performance."

Elsewhere, Birmingham City defeated Millwall 3-0 at St Andrews to sit second in the table, while Stoke City are third after a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers.
