Jacob Duffy took another five-wicket haul for New Zealand as they secured a 323-run victory over West Indies on the final day of the third Test, also clinching a 2-0 series win.

Duffy (5-42) and Ajaz Patel (3-23) rattled through the Windies batting lineup as the Black Caps took 10 wickets on day five at Mount Maunganui to continue their strong record at home against the tourists.

West Indies started the day on 39-0 and were hoping to recreate their heroics in the first Test and pull off an unlikely draw, and their opening pair looked very settled at the crease.

Brandon King scored 13 boundaries on his way to 67 off 96 balls while John Campbell produced a resilient knock of 16 from 105 deliveries at the other end, but the wicket of the former triggered an almighty collapse.

Duffy dismissed King before Patel sent Campbell back to the dressing room in the following over, and the Windies found themselves go from 87-0 to 138 all out before stumps.

Patel also removed Kavem Hodge (0) and Shai Hope (three), while the middle order provided little resistance against Duffy, who also sent the stumps flying as he took the final wicket of Seales (0) to wrap up the win.

Data Debrief: Historic year and series for Duffy

Duffy’s five-fer not only capped off a brilliant series for the bowler, but also an incredible 2025.

His 23 wickets against the Windies over the last three matches are the most by a New Zealand bowler in a single series, surpassing Trent Boult’s 20 against the same opposition in 2013.

Duffy has also taken 81 wickets across 2025, overtaking the record previously held by Sir Richard Hadlee in 1985 (79) for most scalps by a Black Caps bowler in a calendar year.
