Djokovic admits frustration after Sinner rout
Novak Djokovic admitted that it is "never nice when someone kicks your a** like this on the court" following Jannik Sinner's straight-sets demolition of him in the Six Kings Slam exhibition.
Having already beaten Djokovic in their previous six encounters — including in the French Open and Wimbledon semi-finals this year — Sinner once again dominated, cruising to a 6-4 6-2 victory, booking his place in the final where he will face Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner immediately broke serve in the first set, reeling off three consecutive games to take a 3-1 lead, before going on to seal the opener.
The Italian world number two broke twice in the second to create further distance between him and the 24-time grand slam champion, surging into a 5-1 advantage, before serving out the match.
“I’m sorry you couldn’t see a longer match today. It’s his fault. Not my fault. I tried to intimidate him a bit in that last game with the 0-15 point but it didn’t work," the Serbian joked.
"It felt like a runaway train. He was smacking the ball from all corners. He was just too good. Well done to him and good luck in the finals.”

Earlier in the day, Alcaraz made a successful return to action following his withdrawal from the Shanghai Masters due to an ankle injury. The world number one looked sharp, sweeping past Taylor Fritz 6-4 6-2 with a dazzling display of shot-making.
The Spaniard broke half-way through the first set and saw the remainder out in complete control. Yet, he saved his best tennis for the second, where he chalked off five successive games to progress to Saturday's final.
“I’ve had great moments on and off court. This year has been my best year so far without a doubt," Alcaraz claimed.
"If I had to choose one moment.. I don’t know. It’s really difficult to choose one. When I won Roland Garros, that was a great moment for me. When I won Monte Carlo. I came from losing in Miami.
"I was able to come back mentally and physically and play great tennis in Monte Carlo. I’m gonna choose those moments from this year.”
