RB Leipzig remain Yan Diomande's "dream club" for now amid growing links over a move to Bayern Munich or Liverpool.

Arne Slot's side are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old winger as a long-term replacement for Egypt star Mohamed Salah.

Bundesliga rivals Bayern have also been linked with a potential transfer, but Diomande refuted any speculation over a move away from Leipzig, insisting his full focus remains on his current team.

"People made it out to be my dream club. But first and foremost, it's my dad's favourite club," Diomande told BILD when the Liverpool rumours were put to him.

"It was always his great wish to see me there someday because he loves the atmosphere at Anfield. He always raved about Steven Gerrard. I was too young to see him play.

"We didn't even have a TV at home for a long time. I have a lot of respect for Liverpool, but my dream club right now is Leipzig."

Diomande will have caught the eye of Bayern, too, leading the way in the 2025-26 Bundesliga with 74 dribbles completed – his nearest competitor is Leipzig team-mate Antonio Nusa with 50.

No player has attempted more dribbles in the German top-flight this season either, with Diomande's 138 well clear of second-placed Michael Olise, another wing wizard for Bayern.

But Diomande has also produced an end product, with only three players bettering his 33 chances created from open play in this season's Bundesliga (Romano Schmid – 49, Olise – 48, Luis Diaz – 45).

However, Diomande is not considering an immediate switch to Vincent Kompany's side.

"It's always nice to hear something like that," he added on the Bayern links. "But I haven't spoken to anyone from Bayern.

"It's not the right time for that. I'm happy here in Leipzig and want to remain fully focused."
