Napheesa Collier will go up against her Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve in the WNBA All-Star Game, after the league confirmed the coaches for the event.

Minnesota's 15-2 record is the best in the league this season following Thursday's 92-75 victory over the Washington Mystics, with Collier scoring 28 points in that game.

That record earned Reeve her spot as one of the WNBA's two All-Star coaches, alongside Sandy Brondello of the New York Liberty, who are 12-5.

Collier had already been selected as one of the two All-Star captains, finishing second in a public vote behind Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.

Because the coach with the best record is paired with the player that topped the vote, Reeve will coach Team Clark and go up against the star of her Minnesota team, Collier.

Reeve has previous experience of the All-Star Game.

Last year, she coached Team USA – who were gearing up for a gold medal run at the Paris Olympics – as they lost 117-109 to Team WNBA.

Brondello, who masterminded the Liberty's 3-2 triumph over Minnesota in the 2024 WNBA Finals, will lead Team Collier in this year's game.

The WNBA All-Star Game will take place on July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
