Millwall climbed to third place in the Championship after coming from behind to beat bottom side Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Hillsborough.

With fellow play-off sides Ipswich Town and Hull City not in action this weekend due to their FA Cup commitments, the Lions took full advantage to move within three points of second-place Coventry City.

Alex Neil's side fell behind just after the hour mark as Wednesday ended their nine-game scoreless streak, with Jamal Lowe tucking away the rebound after Charlie McNeil's initial effort was parried.

However, Millwall turned things around with two goals in as many minutes.

They levelled in the 72nd minute when Cole McGhee turned into his own net, before Macaulay Langstaff converted Femi Azeez's low cross to secure all three points.

Meanwhile, Derby County moved into the play-off places with a 2-0 victory over Swansea City.

Second-half goals from former Swansea striker Rhian Brewster and Patrick Agyemang sealed a fourth win in six games for John Eustace's side.

Blackburn Rovers won 3-1 at Queens Park Rangers to lift them out of the bottom three.

Mathias Jorgensen scored twice – sandwiching a Koki Saito equaliser – before Ryoyo Morishita's second-half header put the game beyond the hosts at MATRADE Loftus Road.

Elsewhere, Preston North End missed the chance to climb into the top six, after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Watford in Ed Still's first match in charge of the Hornets.

Lewis Dobbin's first-half effort for the hosts was cancelled out after the break by Othmane Maamma and an Odeluga Offiah own-goal, but substitute Milutin Osmajic ensured the spoils were shared at Deepdale.

Portsmouth's survival hopes were dented as Andre Brooks' late strike snatched a dramatic 1-0 win for Sheffield United at Fratton Park.

The match appeared to be heading for a stalemate after Gustavo Hamer hit the woodwork and Colby Bishop saw a goal ruled out, but Brooks stole victory with just seven seconds of normal time remaining.

Data Debrief: Three in a row for Brewster

Derby found the net for a 22nd successive Championship game, extending the current longest streak of any side in the top four tiers of English football.

Brewster broke the deadlock at Pride Park, with the ex-Swansea loanee finding the net in three consecutive league matches for the first time in his career.

The Rams also completed their first league double over the Swans since 1985-86, with Sheffield United repeating that feat against Portsmouth for the first time in 30 years.
