Brighton have announced the signing of Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm, with the move to be completed when the transfer window opens.

Yohanna has signed a five-year deal with Brighton, following two seasons with AIK in the Swedish top-flight.

The 18-year-old has made 18 appearances for AIK in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists in the league and cup.

Newcastle United and Chelsea were also said to be interested in signing the teenager, who has opted to join the Seagulls instead.

Yohanna is set to battle the likes of Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh for minutes in Fabian Hurzeler's squad.

Hurzeler told the club website, "I'm looking forward to working with Zadok. Having seen his games and his attributes, he is a player that can impact games in the final third.

"He's still young, and will need time to adapt to the club and Premier League, but he's an exciting player to watch, and he brings the kind of creativity we know our fans will enjoy.

"He's dynamic, has pace and likes to take players on. His attributes and ability will be a real addition to our attacking options."

Brighton finished eighth in the Premier League in 2025-26, qualifying for next season's Conference League.
