The Toronto Raptors and newly acquired forward Brandon Ingram have agreed to a three-year, $120million contract extension.

Ingram’s agency, Klutch Sports Group, shared the news on Tuesday on social media.

Ingram has yet to play a game with his new team after he was dealt from the New Orleans Pelicans before last week’s trade deadline.

The Raptors gave up Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk and a pair of draft picks for Ingram, who has been sidelined since Dec. 7 with a left ankle sprain.

Many analysts predicted the lottery-bound Raptors would extend Ingram after acquiring him, but the move cements him as one of the roster’s cornerstones alongside Scottie Barnes.

The trade and extension also indicated Toronto’s continued unwillingness to undergo a full rebuild.

Last year when the Raptors traded OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam, members of their 2019 championship team, they chose packages that gave them established players like Brown, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft, Ingram has been a consistent scorer in his career but has struggled to stay on the court.

Ingram was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, then traded after three seasons to the Pelicans in the Anthony Davis deal.

After nearly six seasons in New Orleans, the Pelicans were either unable or unwilling to extend Ingram, who had been scheduled to be a free agent this summer.

In nine NBA seasons, Ingram has averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists. In 18 games this season, he has averaged 22.2 points on 46.5-percent shooting, along with 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists.
