Fleetwood Town will host Premier League champions Arsenal in the EFL Cup fourth round, while Liverpool have been pitted against Chelsea.

Fleetwood overcame Sheffield United on Wednesday, and the League Two team will now hope to pull off a huge upset in the last 16.

Coincidentally, Fleetwood's Highbury Stadium shares its name with Arsenal's old, iconic ground, which the Gunners vacated 20 years ago.

The other headline clash in the fourth-round draw saw Chelsea drawn against Liverpool at Anfield.

That is a repeat of the 2024 and 2022 finals, which were both won by Liverpool.

Manchester City have not yet played their third-round tie. Should they beat Norwich City, they will face Brighton, who came from behind to overcome Manchester United 3-2 at Old Trafford. 

It marked the first time Man Utd have lost at Old Trafford from 2+ goals ahead for the first time in over 50 years, since a 3-2 loss to Tottenham in September 1976.

There are four more all-Premier League ties, with Everton hosting 2025 winners Newcastle United, Brentford travelling to Sunderland, Fulham hosting Crystal Palace and Bournemouth facing Aston Villa.

The other match sees Bradford City welcome Peterborough United to Valley Parade.

These ties will take place at the end of October.
